We operate in a private indoor, heated swimming pool, open 7 days a week (by appointment) and there is something on offer for everyone!
Babies, children and adults are all welcome!

At Headstart Swim School, we’re passionate about building confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of the water. We specialise in learn to swim lessons for all ages, and whether you’re just starting out or refining your technique we can help you to achieve your swimming goals.

Swimming Lessons: 6 Months – 18 Years
Our children’s swimming program grows with your child.
We offer a structured, supportive environment where swimmers progress through stages at their own pace:
- Water Familiarisation (6 – 18 months): A gentle introduction to the water and basic swimming techniques, focusing on water safety, trust, and fun through parent-child and then one-on-one teacher-pupil lessons.
- Learn to Swim (1+ years): Independent swimming and stoke development across all 4 strokes tailored to each individuals pace.
- Stroke Correction (typically 5+ years): For more advanced swimmers, we refine technique across all four strokes, dives and tumble turns and develop endurance and efficiency in swimming.
We prioritise one-on-one lessons, warm water, and experienced instructors to ensure each child feels safe, confident, and encouraged.

Swimming Lessons: Adults
It’s never too late to learn to swim—or to become a stronger, more confident swimmer. Whether you’re starting from scratch or brushing up on technique, our adult swimming lessons are personalised to meet your individual goals and comfort level. Lessons are one-on-one, offering focused instruction in a warm, enclosed pool environment—perfect for those who may feel nervous or self-conscious.
- Complete Beginners: Learn the fundamentals of water safety, floating, breathing, and basic strokes in a safe, supportive setting designed to help you overcome fear and build confidence at your own pace.
- Stroke Refinement: Improve stroke technique, breathing efficiency, and endurance—ideal for recreational swimmers, fitness seekers, or adults looking to return to the water after a long break.

Holiday Swimming Booster Clinics
Turn school holidays into an opportunity for real progress in the pool! Our Holiday Booster Clinics offer short bursts of daily swimming lessons, typically over 2 to 5 days, designed to rapidly improve water confidence and swimming skills. This intensive format is ideal for consolidating learning, boosting skill retention, and keeping kids active during the break.
- Jumpstart for Beginners: A great introduction to swimming for those new to the water. Develop trust, basic safety skills, and initial stroke work in a supportive, daily format.
- Confidence for Intermediate Swimmers: For kids already familiar with the water, these clinics strengthen technique, timing, and stamina with regular, repeated practice.
- Fun and Fitness in the Holidays: Holiday Clinics are a great way to keep children physically active and mentally engaged.

Pool Parties & Family Fun
